Yes — completely. Our enzyme solutions are non-toxic, biodegradable and specifically designed for use in homes with pets and children. The enzymes are naturally occurring biological compounds, not harsh chemicals. Once the area has been rinsed and is drying — usually within an hour of treatment — your pets can safely re-enter the room.
Not after a proper sub-surface treatment. Smells return when the source (urine crystals in the underlay) is left untreated. Our process extracts the contamination from the underlay itself — removing the source entirely rather than masking it at the surface.
Usually yes. Animals return to previous accident spots primarily because they can smell residual urine that humans can't detect. By completely eliminating the odour at a molecular level — not masking it — we remove the scent trigger that draws them back. This is one of the key reasons not to use supermarket sprays, which mask smell to human noses but not to pets.
Unfortunately not always. When urine has chemically bleached the carpet fibres — causing orange or yellow discolouration — that colour change is usually permanent. We can remove the odour and bacteria completely, but we can't restore dyed fibres that have been chemically altered. We'll identify bleached areas during the pre-inspection and let you know honestly before we start.
We can treat both fresh and very old contamination. Older, dried urine has crystallised and become concentrated — it actually requires a longer enzyme dwell time to break down effectively. There's no cut-off on age, though older or severe contamination may require a more intensive treatment. We assess severity on arrival and quote accordingly.
Yes — this is exactly what makes our Water Claw tool so effective. It applies suction directly through the carpet and backing, pulling liquid from the underlay without needing to lift anything. For extreme cases of deep contamination, lifting the carpet may be recommended — but in the majority of treatments, the carpet stays in place throughout.
